Rules of the UER Touring Car Masters 2010 Every driver that registers confirms with his sign-up that he has read the rules and has understood them. If there are questions, you can ask one of the admins at all times by making a post on the forum. General Rules We want to deliver a fair and exciting race to all drivers. Therefor we want the drivers to pay attention, so that others aren't being sent into and incident or accident. So if you are trying to overtake, hold back from time to time if there would be an accident otherwise and also expect other drivers to make mistakes. We are not accepting skins with radical right or other discriminating backrounds. Please pay attention to your behaviour at all times in an event. We are not accepting swearing or comparable things. If a competitor gets caught doing this, we'll give out penalties instantly. Racefacts Server opening: 19:45 CET Qualifying: 20:00 CET – duration 25 minutes Sprint race: 3 – 5 laps, depending on track Main race: about 20:50 CET – duration 45 minutes Between each session there will be a break. The duration of the race will be set at 45 minutes. We will recalculate the 45 minutes to the numbers of laps and e-mail them to the racers. Qualifying The qualifying is 25 minutes long During the session, use of Shift-P and Shift-S is vorbidden and will lead to a disqualification. You can enter the pit lane for refuelling and changing tyres at all times. If you can't make another hot lap, you have to park you car in pit lane. In the in and outlaps the ideal line must be kept clear. After the session is finished, every car must return to pitlane under its own power. If this is not the case, you'll have to start from the rear of the grid. If more than one driver doesn't make it back, then the distance to pitlane will decide on the position. After declearation of the admins, you are allowed to enter the pits using Shift-P/Shift-S. Chatting is vorbidden. Every chat line will result in a 0.5 second penalty. Only after the chat is opened, you will be allowed to do so. Sprint Race The grid for the sprint race will be set by qualifying results. The race will be between 3 to 5 laps long, depending on the track in use. All drivers will informed about the number of laps by e-mail before the event. Chatting is not allowed, there will be a 5 second penalty for each line. Entering the pits with Shift-P/Shift-S is vorbidden. Drivers who do will be excluded from the session. Main Race The main race will be 45 minutes long. The time the race takes will be recalculated in laps and will be e-mailed to them before the event. During the race there will be a pit stop window with a forced change of tyres. If a pit stop is not completed within the pit window, it will not be seen as completion of the required pit stop. For a missed pit stop there will be a penalty by the admins. The penalty can be given during the same race. The first eight drivers from the sprint race finishing order will start in reversed order into the main race. Chatting is vorbidden and will be penalised appropriately. Major incidents will be penalised directly by the admins. Crossing the blend line while exiting the pits is not allowed and will be penalised with a Drive-Through-Penalty. Entering the pits with Shift-P/Shift-S will result in an exclusion from the session. Chatting will be penalised with a 5 second penalty for each line. Pit Stops For the sprint race there is no required pit stop. During the main race you'll be forced to pit between during the the 15th and 35th minute. If the stop is not completed within the pit window, the driver will receive a 90 second penalty after the race. A stop before the opening of the pit window will not be seen as a forced stop. Protests If a driver is feeling that he's been disadvantaged, he can file a protest within 48 hours of the race over the homepage. A protest can also be filed against admins' decisions. A protest can only be filed over the provided form on the website. Should there be any technical problems and sending the file not being possible, a driver can in exceptional cases also e-mail an admin. The filing of a protest works over the race calendar. After ending the race, the link can be found there. After 48 hours the link will disappear again, and no protests can be filed anymore. Points 1st place: 15 points 2nd place: 12 points 3rd place: 10 points 4th place: 8 points 5th place: 6 points 6th place: 5 points 7th place: 4 points 8th place: 3 points 9th place: 2 points 10th place: 1 point Points will be given in both races. Restrictions FZR – 20% air restriction FXR – 23% air restriction XRR – 24% air restriction For explanation: The FZR only carries 20% air restriction as it has a naturally aspirated engine. On this kind of engine the restrictor is far more effective as on a turbocharged engine, like in FXR or XRR. Scorings Every driver scores points for the drivers' standings and therefor competes for the win in the UTCM. Two drivers can compete together as a team and core for the team championship. If a driver is not able to make a round, there is no possibility to nominate another driver as reserve. If a driver retires from the rest of the season, a new driver can sign-up as teammate. The new drivers starts off with 0 points. A team can sign-up multiple team entries. The diffrent entries must differ though, for example through diffrently coloured mirrors or similar things. Skins Every driver decides himself which skin to use. Every team is responsable to send their latest skins to the organisators. These skins will be available as a downloadable ack, so that every driver can see high quality skins in game. The skins resolution should at least be 1024² in size and carry the required number plates well visible on the car. A template can be found in the download area. You have to use your starting number on your skin. The templates have a size of 1024² pixels. If multiple drivers are using the same skin design, they must differ by for instance using diffrently coloured mirrors Name Format Every driver has to enter with his real name. Starting numbers are being given out by the race administration. Your preffered number will be taken into account. Should multiple drivers sign up with the same numbers, the date of registration will decide who the number will be given to. All teams and drivers will be informed about the numbers by the admins: The name format in game should be: 00 – F. Surname The numbers must be carried in all sessions of an event. Teamspeak We are providing an extra channel to every team on our Teamspeak server. Teamspeak 3 is being used. All drivers should be on the Teamspeak server. Passwords and other things will be mailed to people in time. Please note: We try to make the event as professional as possible, it should come nevertheless to inconsistencies or problems, do not be afraid to appeal to the admins.
