das is cool, is sone art glücks/strategiespiel.  man kann 2 serien auswählen, f1 und btcc (und die btcc is auch nochmal in 2 klassen aufgeteilt). dann muss man sein setup zusammenbasteln, stellt ein wie viel risiko man eingehen will, wie agressiv man fahren will und so weiter und dann muss man erstmal 12 stunden warten (brod und ich können schon ein lied davon singen.. ) dann läuft die quali und dann das rennen. von den rennen sieht man eigentlich nix ausser am ende die zeiten also man fährt nich selber, is aber trotzdem sau spannend
brod und ich sind schon total nervös weil unser rennen in ca. 6 stunden losgeht

hui, gibs das noch?
hab ich frueher auch gespielt, die tourenwagensaison hab ich im bmw easy gewonnen  . bei der f1 sah es anders aus.
hab aufgehoert weil der fahrer es nicht geschafft hat 6 vorsichtige trainingsrunden ohne crash zu absolvieren, waehrend er im rennen dann 70 runden mit enormen speed fahren konnte. zuviel glueck und pech beim setup schrauben.
insgesamt aber gut gemacht.

ich schließe mich bullet an. nach 2 saisons wurde es echt öde. ist aber auch schon bestimmt 2 jahre her, vielleicht hat sich ja was verbessert .

Es hat sich einiges verbessert seit damals. Vielleicht schaut ja der ein oder andere mal vorbei. Hab die Features-Liste mal kopiert:
NEW FEATURES
WORLD RECORDS IMPLEMENTED
A comprehensive world record analysis system has been implemented... for each non-private game you play your profile will be updated and eventually with enough data a global world ranking can be calculated for each parameter and also the calculation of an overall ranking.
At the time of writing (9th March 2006) this feature is still under development so some elements may be missing.
LAP BY LAP DRIVER COMMENTS!
It is now possible to annotate a race with your own comments for each lap! This is intended as a fun feature, but not really a reliable means to communicate in-game - use Drivers Chat instead.
NEW RACE ANALYSIS FEATURE
You can now view an individual drivers race incidents on their own (appended to the lap analysis page). I found this quite useful if you want to see how much bad luck you really had to deal with in a race, for example.
NEW SEASON ANALYSIS FUNCTION
On the season standings page, you can now view a table listing of laps led, pits, passes, points at that stage in the championship and quali positions (originally you could see just the final position).
DRIVER CHARACTERISTICS IMPLEMENTED
These were never properly working before! Now, they are - and may swing a championship in your favour! Each drivers characteristics can (at the time of writing) be shown from the driver standings page.
PODIUM
A podium display is now shown at the end of the race. You can also access it from the race results session list. If there are multiple classes in a championship there will be separate podiums for each class.
END OF SEASON PAGE
When a championship is over, all of the car garages now default to an end of season page showing the championship winners (driver and team/constructor). If there are multiple classes in a championship these are shown too.
DONATE / SPONSOR BATRACER / PERMANANTLY ADVERTISE ON BATRACER
It is now possible to buy permanent advertising in limited space either side of the game pages using the new Pixel Advertising model. This is an alternative to either game fees or plain donations, and in doing so you can contribuite to the running cost of the game and continued development whilst getting something back! Because there is limited advertising space, it's permanent and also very cheap - it makes it highly appealing if you're just looking for somewhere to advertise. The smallest space you can buy is a PERMANANT 10x10 pixel square @ 19 GBP.
BROWSER SUPPORT
IE6, Firefox and Opera are now all supported (before it was IE-only). Opera requires you to change the slider bar setting to use Flash sliders.
ENHANCEMENTS
CHAMPIONSHIP ORDER REVISED
Rather than settle on points alone, driver and team championship orders are now defined by points, then wins, podiums, poles, fastest laps and finally average qualifying position... this means there is no longer the risk of joint (or random!) champions in the event of a draw.
GAME ADVANCE TWEAK
Games will now advance at their prescribed times, previously a player from a particular game would have to be online for it to advance.
NAME CHECKING
Driver name and team names are now checked and changed if they are considered "bad". Reasons for name changes include names which are too long without spaces, bad characters, offensive words, random letters or numbers and codes. Names are a key part of race commentary and so each player must have a regular driver name and team name.
HOME RACE NOTIFICATION
Drivers competing in their home race are now listed at the start of a race, as well as in the timesheets.
SLIDER BARS
Because JAVA is no longer bundled with many default browser installs (e.g. Windows XP) The JAVA slider bars have been dropped in favour of a DHTML one. The functionality is much the same. Opera users will need to change their slider settings to Flash sliders as the regular mode is not compaitable.
GAMES LIST DISPLAY IMPROVED
Neat sorted selection list now shows your champ position for each game entered into, game status, etc.
COSMETIC IMPROVEMENTS
Some basic cosmetic improvements have been made... we havn't laboured on this too much though as gameplay is what drives us most!
GRAPHS ENHANCED
The post-race and championship graphs have been improved to make them more readable.
MORE RACE PLAYBACK ENHANCEMENTS
# NEW: Text descriptions of the state of tyre wear and car damage have been replaced with bar graphics. Click "show data" in the mini timesheet to display them throughout the race. Graphics are now also shown in the damage analysis screen.
# Cars which are pitting are now more obvious in the mini timesheet
# NEW: On the Lap Analysis screen, graphics are now shown instead of text.
# The rain density is now illustrated by an increasingly darker blue colour on the Lap Analysis page.
TEAM MATE PIT STOPS NOW VISIBLE
Shown on the race strategy page, below your own strategy options.
MORE COMPLEX OVERTAKING MODEL
Relative speed between two cars and the type of circuit is now more important. No longer will a car which is 2 seconds a lap faster around Monza struggle to pass another car. On the flipside, a massivly quicker car around Monaco won't make a huge difference. The difficulty of passing at different circuits was modelled previously, but did not take into account relative speed difference.
SPECIAL PLAYERS INDICATED
Special players (sponsors or devs) are now indicated in game.
OTHER CHANGES
MAXIMUM GAME LIMIT IMPOSED
# There is now a limit to the maximum number of games you can participate in at once. During the Alpha test, many players would join several games (often of the same series), only to be overwhelmed by the game load when results started coming in! Some of these players then abandoned some of these games to concentrate on others, to the detriment of players in the other games. A sensible limit of 2 games is now introduced!
# In addition to this, you can now only play one game of one race series at a time. Players became too confused two identical games at once - choose a different race series instead!
