Aww, Yer both right laddies
.col files contail the saved colors of your/a car. As they are part of the setup, they are saved in the settings folder but...
.col files are NOT skins. They do not contail the graphics (logo's etc). Only color settings. The skins have a .jpg extension and should be put in the (and I know it's a real open door) SKINS directory
so: .col files go in:
<your lfs install dir>\data\settings
and .jpg files go in:
<your lfs install dir>\data\skins
Please be aware that the game can only handle so much .col files (8 I beleive?). We need more color slots

k, but i am not so good in english
copy your skin in the /pic folder of LFS.
If it is a Turbo skin call it "XR_GT_yourSkin.jpg".
If it is a GTI skin call it "XF_yourSkin.jpg"
it is so easy
